ANATOMY OF A RESTORATION.
In the beginning...
This diamond in the rough was discovered in 2004 in a Michigan barn not far from the Dearborn plant where it was created. Used for racing, the only mileage accumulated was done so in ¼ miles bursts on Detroit drag strips. When it was retired to storage in the late 1970's it had only 6,035 miles on the odometer (yes you read that correctly). This is a true historical treasure and as close to factory new and complete as it gets. We've even got the original shipping invoice dated back to 05-05-1969! This SCJ was truly destined for greatness. Remember that this is 1 of only 110 registerd and known to exist! Thanks to Jim Leake's keen eye and Randy Roberts', of Muscle Car Restorations, mechanical expertise this project materialized in an incredible way and we appreciate you for taking the time to learn more.
