VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
This auction is for a 1998 BMW M3 Coupe. This vehicle is a one-owner car that I purchased brand new off the showroom floor at the local BMW dealership. The original list price of the car was $44,115 excluding luxury tax and the dealer markup, and it has been worth every penny. Overall, the car is in very good condition, and it has been serviced at the local BMW dealership since new. I have used the car as my personal, daily driver for the past five years, and it is without a doubt the best "all around car" that I have ever owned. My M3 has been an Oklahoma car its entire life, and it has never been abused or modified. With a growing family, I have reluctantly decided to transition to a four door. This car has provided exhilarating performance and dependable transportation for many trouble free miles. It performs as well now as the day I bought it, and I have taken care of the car as if I were going to own it forever. This M3 comes with all of its original books and records, including the original bill of sale and window sticker. All service receipts and the warranty booklet are also included.
For the uninitiated, the "M" division of BMW is effectively an "in house" tuner shop. M3s are built on a different line than the normal 3-Series cars, and they benefit a great deal from extensive, hand-built assembly. With its signature, triple-thread custom stitching, distinctive "M" logos, and red illuminated gear shift knob, M3's are limited production vehicles that offer additional refinements and cosmetic touches not commonly found in most "factory production" cars. The E36 Series M3 is powered by a 240 hp, 3.2L DOHC 24-valve inline six cylinder engine with variable valve timing mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This remarkable car delivers exceptional performance that prompted one automotive magazine to call it "the best handling car in the world". The Close ratio gearbox combined with the ample torque from BMW's legendary "Straight Six" will propel this car to its governed top speed long before you finish this paragraph. The incredible handling of these cars is simply flawless with no negative characteristics, and the braking ability of the M3 is second to none. All equipment is in proper working order, and the car is solid and still very "tight". Highway mileage of 28 mpg is testament to the car's extremely efficient design, and no other sports car comes close to offering the same utility and usefulness at this performance level. In city driving, it takes a car with over 100 more horsepower to beat it, and the M3 can comfortably transport four adults while getting exceptional gas mileage. Simply put, the car offers the performance of a Porsche with the functionality of a Honda.
This particular M3 is finished in Alpine White with a Modena Natur leather interior. The "neutral" exterior color contrasts perfectly with the brighter interior, giving the car a very understated yet classy appearance. In addition to the extensive list of standard features, this car is equipped with such options as power sunroof, power front seats, and cruise control. Additionally, it was ordered by the dealer with an On-board Computer (for multi-information display and check control monitor), Harman-Kardon Sound System with CD changer, and "M" Contour II alloy wheels. The car is completely stock with the exception of very tasteful pin stripes added by the selling dealer prior to purchase, and it has an excellent service history. The car also is equipped with such factory features as ABS, traction control with a limited slip differential, BMW's legendary four wheel independent suspension, anti-theft alarm, dual zone climate control, and front/side airbags. It is fully equipped and offers a rare combination of luxury, functionality, and performance. This BMW is a lot of car for the money, and you can own it for less than half of what I paid for the car new. BMW builds the "Ultimate Driving Machine", and one drive in a M3 will make you a believer!!!
VEHICLE CONDITION
The beautiful exterior of the car is glossy and free of dings and scratches. There are several slight gravel chips on the front bumper and lower air dam, and there is a small factory imperfection in the paint just to the left of the rear license plate upon close inspection. The interior condition is very good, and shows little wear consistent with its mileage. The rear seats are virtually perfect, and the front seat surfaces and side bolsters show some wear, as one would expect from such soft, supple leather. A couple of the wheels have a few nicks on them, but they look very good. The car has been garage kept during my ownership, and it has hardly seen bad weather. Please keep in mind that this is a used vehicle that has been driven daily, but the next owner is sure to find the car to be in excellent shape overall. However, please feel free to contact the seller directly with any specific questions regarding the car's condition or cosmetic appearance to ensure complete satisfaction upon purchase. I have diligently tried to take excellent care of my car, but it was built to be driven regularly rather than be used as a weekend toy. Overall, the exterior and interior appearance of the car is very good, with only slight evidence of careful usage.
Mechanically, the car is in very good to excellent shape. I have had the car serviced at the local factory dealership since new, and the car has required surprisingly little service other than the mandatory, factory maintenance requirements. It has been recently fully serviced, and no additional care is required at this time. All controls and functions are working properly, although there is some "crackling" in one of the ten speakers in the car. This M3 is ready to drive anywhere, so catch a flight to Tulsa and drive home in this wonderful "Road Warrior". With incredible endurance and a supremely comfortable ride, you will be home before you know it. The new owner of this car will not be disappointed as this vehicle is honestly described.

All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer, however the seller will assist in securing suitable transport for the vehicle to your front door, if requested at the time of closing. Additionally, the seller will gladly pick up the buyer at the Tulsa International Airport (TUL), and you can drive home in your M3.
